The first and foremost important thing about planning a holiday is to contact the practice 6 weeks before you plan to travel to fill in a travel vaccination form. The reason for this is that some vaccinations are given over the course of a month and would need time to be fully effective.
Give us details of your travel plans. Please complete our online form. Please complete one for each person travelling.
Phone the surgery back 7-10 days after completing your form online to check whether you require any vaccinations. Depending on the your travel destination, and the vaccines required, you may need to attend a private clinic for certain vaccines and/or Malaria tablets.
If you require any vaccinations you will need to come to the practice to pick up prescriptions and to arrange a nurse appointment.
Collect your vaccinations from the chemist and bring them with you to your appointment. At this appointment the vaccines will be administered and any queries you have regarding your travel health will be answered.
