Training Practice
We are a training practice and each year we have a GP registrar working with us. The current registrar is Dr Mairi Ferguson who will be with us until October 2008.

The nursing team run a full treatment room service. Among the clinics we run are diabetes, asthma and coronary heart disease. Travel advice, travel and childhood immunisations and minor surgery are all available. (NB: Travel vaccinations cannot be done if there is less than four weeks until date of travel.) The team can also offer advice on many health-related issues. Please telephone and make an appointment on the surgery number 0141 211 5621.
The Primary Care Division (PCD) also employs health visitors and district nurses who work from within the medical centre.

Patrica Doig (Health Visitor Support Nurse)
Fiona and Patricia offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with postnatal depression. A baby clinic is held on a Friday from 1.00pm to 3.30pm, when ‘under-fives’ can be seen by appointment. At other times Fiona is available for home visits as necessary. District Nurses

The district nursing team carry out nursing care for the patient at home. Please telephone them on 0141 211 5626.
Health Care Assistant
Jacqui Murray is available to take blood tests and blood pressure. If you require blood tests or blood pressure only please make an appointment with her on 0141 211 5621.
Midwives
Midwives from the Queen Mother’s Hospital run midwife-only and joint midwife/GP clinics.
Community Psychiatric Nurse
Jim Paterson attends once a week.
Counsellor and Mental Health Team
Based at Milngavie Clinic and may be available after referal by GP.
Administration Team
The practice is well served by a group of dedicated staff comprising practice manager Mrs Elspeth McKay, senior receptionist Mrs Connie McDiarmid, receptionists, secretary and an administrative assistant.
