Training Practice
We are a training practice and each year we have a GP registrar working with us. The current trainees are Dr Irene Calderwood, who will be with us until August 2010 and Dr Melissa Park who will be with us
until the end of February 2011.

The nursing team run a full treatment room service. Among the clinics we run
are diabetes, COPD, Stroke, asthma and coronary heart disease. Travel advice,
travel and childhood immunisations and minor surgery are all available. (NB:
Travel vaccinations cannot be done if there is less than four weeks until date
of travel.) The team can also offer advice on many health-related issues. Please

The Primary Care Division (PCD) also employs health visitors and district nurses who also work here.
Health Visitors

Our health visitors offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with postnatal
depression. The health visitors can be contacted at Milngavie Clinic on 0141 232 4815.
District Nurses

The district nursing team carry out nursing care for the patient at home. Please telephone them on 0141 211 5626.
Health Care Support Worker
Jacqui West is available to take blood tests and blood pressure, as well as do other treatment room procedures. If you require blood tests or blood pressure only please make an appointment with her on 0141 211 5621.
Midwives
Midwife led clinics take place in local Hubs such as Milngavie Clinic. They can be contacted on 0141 232 9470.
Community Psychiatric Nurse
Jim Paterson attends once a week.
Counsellor and Mental Health Team
Based at Milngavie Clinic and may be available after referral by GP.
Administration Team
The practice is well served by a group of dedicated staff comprising practice
manager Mrs Elspeth McKay, senior receptionist Mrs Joanne Nicholson , receptionists, secretary and an administrative assistant.
